ASKJA
The 31 active volcanos of Iceland are fascinating and frightening at the same time. A tinderbox of majestic grace, both, adored and dreaded. Most notably ASKJA – once turf of the Nordic Gods’ father’s, today central volcano in the Vatnajökull national park. His 500 meters high lava fountains turn its inside out and encase the enormous areals in black landscapes of basalt. Sympathizing with the auspicious scent of its glowing basalt is this aromatic candle: Warm amber-essences unite in ASKJA with the untamable vapor of melting lava to a distinctive composition – that is a scent only a spectacle of nature in Iceland can inspire.
